General introduction
- Quang Ninh Pine Stock Company was established in 1979. For more than 30 years of establishment and development, the company has become the largest enterprise in Vietnam in exploiting, purchasing and processing turpentine.
- The company's sustainable development is based on stable and high quality raw materials, accounting for 70% of Vietnam's exploited rosin market share.
History of formation and development
- Established with German technology and equipment, designed capacity 5000 tons/year. However, due to insufficient raw materials, plastic processing must be done manually.
- Joint venture with Tomen company of Japan, building lines and Japanese technology with a capacity of 2,000 tons/year. The main source of turpentine is in Quang Ninh province with about 1,400 tons/year

INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION AND APPLICATION
Pine resin is a rich source of useful terpenes. It has two main parts: Pine oil is a volatile substance, and Frankincense is a solid. As an important element for tree protection, pine resin is an important non-timber forest product because of the application and potential of terpenes. Derivatives of rosin can be used in various industries, including the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries, as well as the chemical industry, in various products such as paints, varnishes, adhesives, insecticides and disinfectants. The biotic and abiotic factors affecting turpentine production can be used to improve yield. The production strategies of rosin and the industrial applications of this complex of natural products are analyzed below.
